1. When loan closing assignment is received, first verify with the lender or title company all of the specifics of the closing. There may be documents that you are to pick up, certified funds to collect, and copies of drivers license. Verify what color of ink you should use for the signing and what address and account # should be used for the returning of the documents.

2. Immediately call borrower to confirm the time, date, and location of the closing. Advise borrower of any documents or funds you need to collect. Verify that he or she has proper identification and will have copies available for you to collect.

3. When loan package is received print out 2 copies 1 to sign and 1 for borrower to keep for there records. Review all documents for special instructions, pages that did not print correctly, or names that are misspelled. Also check settlement statement to verify funds to collect.

4. Call borrower before leaving for appointment to ensure he or she has everything ready for you to collect and the certified funds are for the correct amount.
